Booking terms
What these cover
These are the terms you book under with AI Hockey. The waiver and photo consent are separate, and you agree to those when you book too.
What you are buying
- A block — a spot in a multi-week session, the same night every week, for the whole run. You can buy a block only before its first night. Once the block has started it is no longer sold as a block.
- A single night — one skate. Nights a block did not sell go on sale in the week before that night, and every remaining night is available once the block has started.
The price you see when you book is the price. Prices can change for later blocks; that never changes what you already paid.
Holding a spot, and paying
When you book, the spot is held for you, not yet confirmed. The booking page and your email say how long the hold lasts.
Pay by Interac e-transfer to the address shown, and put the reference code in the message — that is how we match your payment to your spot.
If the transfer has not arrived by the time the hold runs out, the hold expires and the spot goes back on sale. No hard feelings, and you can book again if it is still open.
Your spot is confirmed once we have marked the payment received. You get an email when that happens. Until then, nothing is guaranteed.
Refunds, missed skates and cancellations
Spots are not refundable.
Ice is bought from the rink weeks ahead and paid for whether or not every skater turns up. Coaches are booked for those hours the same way. An empty spot costs us exactly what a full one does, so a missed skate is not refunded or credited, and a block cannot be cancelled part-way through for money back.
Book the block you can commit to. If you are not sure, a single night is the lower-risk way in.
On the ice
- Players wear full equipment and follow the coaches' instructions. The waiver sets this out in full.
- We can remove a player from a session for unsafe or abusive behaviour, and for the rest of a block if it continues.
- Parents and guests are expected to behave reasonably with our coaches, the rink's staff and other families.
Your account
Keep your name, email and phone up to date — they are how we reach you when something about your skate changes. You are responsible for what is booked through your account.
What we can change
We may change a session's coach, rink or time when we have to. Anything material, we tell you. If we ever change these terms, the new version is on this page.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia. If part of them is unenforceable, the rest still stands.
